Senior Contract Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee the management of contracts for our real estate development projects. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers. The role ensures that all contractual terms align with company objectives and comply with legal requirements, while also mitigating risks and ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including construction contracts, supplier agreements, and service contracts.
2. Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and UAE legal regulations.
3. Manage contract life cycles from inception to completion, ensuring all terms and conditions are adhered to.
4. Collaborate with project managers, legal counsel, and procurement teams to address contract-related issues.
5. Analyze and identify potential risks in contract terms and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
6. Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
7. Handle contract disputes, working closely with legal counsel to resolve issues efficiently.
8. Maintain accurate records of contracts and related documentation.
9. Prepare and submit regular reports on contract status to senior management.
10. Provide guidance and training to project teams on contract management best practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience in contract management with Fidic exposure. Mandatory experience of at least 5 years with the construction industry in Dubai, UAE, with Real Estate Developers or Large Civil Construction Contractors.
3. Strong knowledge of UAE contract law and regulations.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks in contracts.
6. Proficient in contract management software and legal documentation.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
