Job Description

The Role

Infrastructure Advisory is looking for interested candidates for a Senior Consultant role to join our Infrastructure Advisory team. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Consultant will work under the direction of Directors and Managers to support the delivery and execution of engagements. The Senior Consultant will work as a part of a high-performance advisory environment that requires collaboration with other teams and external partners for joint delivery on engagements. The nature of the work usually involves advising government clients on PPP procurement, PPP option evaluation, feasibility studies/business case preparation, and advising private clients on pre-bid financial advisory, model review, and preparation, etc.

Key Responsibilities

1. Independently managing and executing complex tasks in an engagement with minimal guidance.
2. Support senior team members in the preparation of proposals.
3. Clearly understand the scope of task assignment for engagement execution and prepare high-quality deliverables in a timely manner with minimal guidance from senior team members.
4. Effectively communicate with the client to obtain inputs for execution and participate/contribute in discussions during client meetings or presentations.
5. Support senior team members in day-to-day execution, project management, and client coordination activities, proactively seeking inputs and flagging issues during execution.
6. Maintain a growth and learning mindset and build domain knowledge in the infrastructure sector.
7. Work on multiple engagements through efficient delivery of assigned tasks and effective time management.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with large government clients or private sector developers on Infrastructure PPP transactions. Experience in the GCC region will be an added plus.
2. Experience in infrastructure sectors (including power, water, transport, healthcare sectors) with knowledge of sector trends.
3. Experience within Big 4 and boutique advisory firms preferred. However, relevant experience gained from other institutions e.g. banks could also be considered.
4. Strong analytical skills and good understanding of financial modeling/structuring skills.
5. Ability to operate in large, culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
7. Graduate/post-graduate from a reputed institution/college.
8. Experience of PPP procurement (government side) and/or Pre-bid Advisory and project finance (private side) will be considered most relevant.
9. Hands-on experience in financial modeling.
10. Strong communication, PowerPoint, and report writing skills are a must.
11. Candidate experience in the Middle East will be preferred but not necessary.

Required Technical Skills/Competencies

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
2. Proficiency in building financial models.
3. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
4. Proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage.
