Job Opportunity: Senior Conservation Architect & Project Manager

Employer: A.R.S. Progetti S.P.A. is a globally operating consulting firm specializing in Culture and cultural heritage conservation, Governance and Human Rights, natural resources, physical planning, and infrastructure engineering.

Position: Senior Conservation Architect & Project Manager

Location: Rome Headquarters and Abu Dhabi

Starting Date: June 2024

Duration: Minimum two years, with potential for permanent employment after a 4-month trial period.

Education: Master's Degree in Architecture/Conservation with a specialization in the conservation of cultural heritage.

Qualifications:

1. Conservation Architect with minimum 10 years experience of which minimum 5 years international experience, specific experience as project manager leading the inputs of a team and dealing with the client, in heritage assessment, master planning, concept and detailed design, preparation of tender documents, works supervision
2. Previous experience in middle east countries a plus, in particular the Gulf countries
3. Excellent in structuring and writing reports
4. Eager to work international context, including developing countries, and to undertake long and short missions abroad
5. Excellent knowledge and use of computer and main software, such as Windows Office, Primavera, Microsoft Project, 2D/3D AUTOCAD, Rendering software, Photoshop, etc.

1. Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with a passion for heritage conservation and consulting
2. Highly flexible, hard-working, and capable of working under stress
3. Excellent time management, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
4. Possession of an international driving license and willingness to drive in project countries

Job Description:

Conservation Expert: Conservation expert team leader/project manager for heritage projects in Abu Dhabi

Project Management:
- Oversee technical and administrative management of assignments, including expert coordination, output revision, and integration
- Monitor budget, resources, and schedules; manage administrative tasks
- Liaise with Contracting Authorities and stakeholders
- Organize field missions and provide support to international experts

Business Development:
- Elaboration of proposals for international tenders (EU, WB, UNESCO, CCG) focusing on cultural heritage conservation, architecture, master planning, and urban planning for international donors, particularly in developing and emerging countries
- Identify and build collaborations with partners and experts, and prepare technical methodologies for tenders

Work Language: English and Italian, French or Arabic as assets.
