Senior Commercial Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Prepares contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses and assists formal execution by the appropriate parties.

2. Advises on the administration of the terms of construction works or services contracts.

3. Measures and provides valuations of the work carried out and adjusts variations in accordance with the terms of the contract and agrees with the contractor.

4. Ensures adequate cost control and reporting services during the contract.

5. Prepares financial reports for the client in the required form and frequency.

6. Identifies all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.

7. Participates in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.

8. Advises on the issuance of certificates of practical completion and ensures that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

9. Advises on the issuance of the certificate of making good defects and final completion in accordance with any requirements relating to completion, submissions, and approvals.

10. Delivers improvements in systems and processes, driving transformational change.

11. Manages a team of professional roles (may include support roles), driving performance and results, while delivering performance management, technical development, and coaching.

12. Seeks opportunities for continuous improvements and improving working processes.

13. Develops effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

14. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and shares responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
