Senior Commercial Director (Dubai)

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven and visionary Senior Commercial Director with a strong track record in digital media sales to lead and scale our commercial strategy. In this role, you will lead the monetization of our digital platforms, build high-performing sales teams, and establish lasting relationships with brands, agencies, and partners. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our revenue generation efforts and expanding our market footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the digital media sales strategy, ensuring strong revenue growth across display, video, programmatic, branded content, social, and emerging media.
  • Lead and develop a high-performance commercial and sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with brands, media agencies, and digital partners.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new digital products, ad formats, and content partnerships.
  • Build and manage senior-level client and agency relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
  • Work closely with content, product, marketing, and analytics teams to align commercial goals with audience and platform growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform business strategy.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pricing models, revenue targets, and performance metrics.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital media sales, with at least 5 years in a commercial leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem — including programmatic, direct sales, influencer/content marketing, native, video, and social.
  • Proven ability to close high-value deals and negotiate at senior levels (CMO, agency leads, brand heads).
  • Strong network across brands, media buying agencies, and advertising partners.
  • Experience in developing and leading sales strategies in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of media metrics and ad tech tools.
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with a passion for digital innovation and storytelling.
