Senior Coating Engineer

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical and other related field/s
• 10 years experience in offshore painting & coating
• Knowledge of the painting, coating and field joint coating materials used in the oil and gas industry, including advantages and disadvantages, properties, costs and other relevant features - will be considered a plus;
• Capability to analyse dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions.
• High proactivity and open-mindedness, strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach; Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Multidisciplinary approach and curiosity in learning new techniques and skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engineering activities related to painting, anticorrosive coatings and thermal insulation for pipes, structures and components, in constructions projects of offshore structures, oil and gas pipelines in all its phases.
• Perform the feasibility studies for suitability of the coating, painting and field joint coating systems.
• Review the received documents and elaboration of the input data related to the coating, painting and field joint coating works.
• Select suitable coating, painting and field joint coating materials and systems.
• Prepare technical qualifications related to the coating, painting and field joint coating.
• Prepare the technical specifications and technical requisitions related to the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services.
• Technical evaluate the offers received from Vendors related to the supply of the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services.
• Witness the Pre-Qualification Test performed by Subcontractors related to the coating, painting and field joint coating.
