Job description

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for experienced Senior Claims Consultant's to be engaged on a permanent basis in Dubai and KSA.
Role Summary:
The role of Senior Consultant involves taking on one or multiple commissions in line with the business's needs, while assuming ownership of key deliverables and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Delivery:
  1. Conduct thorough research, review, analyze, and present documentation and data to support project objectives.
  2. Draft clear and coherent correspondence and/or narratives for submission to clients, ensuring professional quality.
  3. Analyze, compile, and summarize records to substantiate claims or rebuttals effectively.
  4. Share knowledge and provide guidance and skills support to team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  5. Objectively identify and select appropriate methodologies for claim preparation and analysis.
  6. Deliver sound advice to clients on the fundamental elements of contracts, claims, or delay-related matters.
  7. Oversee the technical work output of a delivery team or work as part of a larger team, depending on commission requirements.
  8. Prepare or defend claims with minimal support, presenting findings confidently to clients.
  9. Draft detailed sections of reports with limited supervision, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  10. Submit bi-weekly progress reports to the team leader or commission manager as needed.
  11. Gain relevant onsite experience to enhance expertise and project insights.
  12. Assist in managing fee collection processes, if requested.
  13. Monitor and manage commission expenditure to ensure financial efficiency.
  14. Comply fully with all aspects of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

Education & Memberships:
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Project Management.
  2. Membership of a relevant construction professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ICE).
  3. Actively pursuing or commencing an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration or a similar construction legal qualification (essential for disputes business stream roles).
Experience
  1. Strong background in quantity surveying, civil engineering, estimating/cost management, project management, or planning, with experience working with leading international consultancies or contractors.
  2. Proven expertise in claims preparation, planning, or project management within comparable environments.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and take on leadership roles when required.
  4. Exceptional report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information effectively.
  6. UAE experience is essential, reflecting knowledge of local regulations, industry standards, and practices.
