Job Title: Senior Civil Structural Engineer - Proposals

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Structural Engineer with expertise in bid preparation and evaluation to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical guidance and support, with a primary focus on proposal development and coordination. This position requires a deep understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Engineering deliverables using specifications, and project requirements to specify and complete Civil & Structural discipline.
• Collaborate with other project team members to comply with proposal or project requirements and meet project schedules.
• Ensure delivery of project deliverables within budgeted cost and schedule.
• Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Civil & Structural engineering design.
• Planning and executing Civil & Structural engineering design and details. This entails the preparation of basic design , FEED and detailed design of the Civil & Structural part of the project, such as:
• - Review of Topographical and Geotechnical survey reports & conclude on design parameters.
• - Site grading, earthwork calculations for Cut and fill, surface drainage
• - Foundation sizing calculation
• - Equipment foundations
• - Pipe supports, electrical and Instrument supports
• - Pipe rack foundations and pipe trenches
• - Layout and detail of trenches
• - Plant buildings, substations, modular buildings
• - Electrical and instrument rooms
• - Structural steel buildings, pipe racks, supports and pipe bridges
• - Platforms and access ways
• - Light poles, chimneys, flare and other tall structure supports
• - Plot plan and layouts
• - Drawings, BOM and Material requisitions.
• - Schedule and Cost Estimates
• - Basis of Design document
• - Functional Specifications
• - Technical Bid Evaluations
• - Review of civil , Structural drawings
• - Construction Scope of Work and
• - Review of drawings from other Disciplines
• Assist in the technical development of assigned project P&IDs.
• Develop technical tabulation to support the selection of equipment, vendors and sub contractors.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
• Provide support to procurement.

Qualifications:

• Graduate Engineer with 10+ years Oil & Gas project experience
• Experience in working for proposals for Oil & Gas green field and brown field projects
• Experience in the specification and design of Civil & structural elements of the plant and facilities.
• Working knowledge of National and International Codes.
• Experience in managing/coordinating engineering contractors and equipment vendors.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
