Carry out construct ability review during the construction stages.
Review in a timely manner the Design Consultant / Contractor(s) submittals and forward comments to the Manager.
Ensure the Design Consultant / Contractor(s) incorporate the comments raised from previous stages.
Attend Progress and Technical meetings with the Contractor(s) and other Subcontractors.
Review Contractor proposed design organizations and related CV's and report to Manager on his findings.
Coordinate with Consultant's Document Controller to ensure that all Documents related to his discipline are properly controlled.
Review the alternatives to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant / Contractor(s), prepare and submit a report including recommendation to the Manager highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
Review the materials proposed by the Design Consultant / Contractor(s) and propose alternative to improve the quality, future maintenance, safety and cost effectiveness.
Review the change requests/ Variations submitted by the Contractor(s).
Participate in the pre-qualification of the construction Subcontractors.
Chair the Technical and Progress meetings that will be held with the Contractor(s).
Personal Requirements
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
Eligible for GCC engineering membership.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
Knowledge in International and Regional Codes & Standards.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Previous experience of minimum 7 years as Civil Engineer.
3 years minimum experience on a large-sized construction project.
