About the job

As we grow, we have new opportunities for Senior Engineers to join our dynamic team. You will work on transforming inspiring visions into successful realities, applying your technical expertise to projects to deliver our clients innovative and sustainable solutions. You will be responsible for the delivery of sustainable, profitable and high value construction deliverables in a timely manner. The role requires an experienced civil/infrastructure engineer with design experience of:

1. Roads
2. Stormwater & Wastewater Drainage
3. Utilities and Services
4. Earthworks
5. Site Grading
6. Pavements
7. Signs and Linemarking

The applicant should ideally have site inspection or construction experience and be open to performing short periods on sites all around the Middle East during construction of large-scale civil projects. As a Senior Engineer, you will work closely with Associates to coordinate project teams and manage resources. Your duties will also include, but not be limited to:

• Applying lateral thinking to challenging engineering problems and developing innovative and practical solutions
• Preparation of technical designs for all civil engineering elements including earthworks, roads, pavement build-ups, signs and linemarking, stormwater drainage, wastewater, water (fire, potable, irrigation), utilities (wet & dry), utilising tools to develop design solutions in a BIM environment
• Preparation and review of design drawings, specifications and documentation
• Provide guidance to junior staff
• Developing fee proposals, compiling invoices and undertaking project cost control practices
• Project management, site inspections and following and implementing RBG policies & QAQC procedures

Your Required Qualifications and Skills Shall Consist Of:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline from a reputable university
• Minimum 8+ years of demonstrated civil design and knowledge of engineering principles across civil elements such as earthworks, pavement, roads, signs & linemarking, hydrology drainage and utilities (dry and wet)
• Extensive knowledge and experience with industry relevant local and international guides, standards and legislation
• Competent with full suite of Microsoft Office software package
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil3D
• Knowledge of BIM requirements & level of detail (LOD 100, 200, 300)
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with drainage, flood modelling, road & pavement or water design software packages such as: Microdrainage / Infodrainage / Causeway Flow / SewerGEMS Infraworks Infowork ICM / HEC-RAS / HEC-HMS / TUFLOW Circly WaterGEMS / EPANet / InfoWater
• Project budget and resource management experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Member of professional engineering organization (EI, ICE, EA, ECSA or similar) and well progressed towards chartership / professional registration

Desirable Skills Include:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or related discipline, from a reputable university
• Knowledge of BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Demonstrable experience with BIM software experience such as: Navisworks BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Demonstrable GIS software experience
• Experience assisting with the development of fee proposals, variations and bids is advantageous
• GCC experience is advantageous
• Site construction supervision experience
• Flexibility and mobility are highly desirable
