Job Title: Senior Civil Construction Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Construction Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring all work adheres to quality, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Oversee construction planning, field design review, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
2. Planning and Scheduling: Understand and monitor the schedule, including the critical path and its implications. Monitor delays and support the planning department with draft delay analysis.
3. Site Supervision: Monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and safety standards. Experience in deep excavation up to 25-30 m, diaphragm walls, sheet piling, and various types of piling.
4. Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical advice and support to project teams, contractors, and clients.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of construction and coordinate with the quality team. Knowledge of ITP/methodologies is essential.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
7. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
8. Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and productivity. Ability to calculate manpower requirements and equipment outputs based on general productivity norms.
9. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly to avoid project delays, demonstrating exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex challenges.
10. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, permits, and inspection records, utilizing any required software system.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in civil construction engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Technical Skills: Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in construction work.

Location: Primarily on-site with some office work.

Hours: Full-time, with flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
