Job Summary:We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Captain for our Pool Bar at Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will assist the Service Manager in delivering exceptional service while inspiring team members to maintain the high standards for which Shangri-La is renowned.Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the service team to ensure a seamless and high-quality guest experience.
Interact with guests to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations.
Guide guests through the à la carte and buffet options, ensuring they are well-informed about the menu offerings.
Fulfill guest orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining organization in service delivery.
Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure timely communication and execution of guest requests.
Address guest queries and complaints with empathy, working closely with colleagues and the Service Manager to find effective solutions.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pool bar area.
Monitor and evaluate service performance, providing feedback and training to team members as needed.
Assist in managing inventory and ensuring proper stock levels for the bar and service areas.
Participate in the planning and execution of promotional events and special functions at the pool bar.
Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in luxury hospitality or customer service, ideally in a food and beverage role.
Knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits, along with upselling techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time position with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
Minimum of 24 months of experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
