Senior CAD Technician/Specialist (Marine)

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to develop concept sketches for the marine elements for various projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Develop concept sketches for the marine projects for various capping beam furniture and MEP elements.
2. Undertake material take-offs, volumetric calculations, and cut/fill analysis using Civil 3D (or similar) for marine and landside works as well as dredging and reclamation projects.
3. Prepare detailed drawings of various project stages including plans, details, sections, and elevations using the CAD/BIM model or software to complete CAD assignments.
4. Perform CAD operations to determine project plans and collect data for designs and engineering-related activities to prepare and produce complex drawings for projects and work packages.
5. Manage and support internal contacts in compiling tender and as-built documentation (drawings, as-builts, and documents).
6. Manage and support the ETS team in the development of master drawings for all AD Ports Group assets.
7. Develop and maintain BIM and 3D models and libraries for all the client's assets.
8. Carry out the tasks assigned by the engineering/CAD team on a day-to-day basis.
9. Use the EDMS system (document management system) of the client.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
2. CAD specialist with a minimum of 10 years’ experience including developing sketches for marine projects.
3. Strong knowledge of various marine elements such as revetments, piles, capping beams, dredging, and reclamation works.
4. Basic knowledge of MEP elements.
5. Knowledge of BIM software, AutoCAD, and Revit.
6. Strong knowledge of CAD standards.
7. Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural engineering/CAD team.
9. Ability to meet stringent timelines.
10. Ability to coordinate with various teams of the client.
