Senior CAD Designer
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed electrical design drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
- Create and maintain electrical diagrams, plans, and specifications for various engineering and construction projects.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Review and verify design drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Perform design revisions and updates based on feedback from project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including drawings, reports, and material lists.
- Conduct design coordination meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
- Ensure designs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD software, electrical design tools, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior CAD designers and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical CAD design within the engineering and construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation) and electrical design tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with project management and construction oversight is a plus.
- Certification in CAD design or related fields is a plus.
