Job Nature

We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM)/Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) to be part of Enterprise Singapore. Based in Dubai, UAE, the BDM/SBDM shall report to the Regional Director and be responsible for facilitating the expansion of Singapore-based companies into the region, specifically the markets of UAE, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, and other countries within MENA.

Responsibilities

Your key role will be to:

  • Provide in-market expertise to help Singapore companies expand their businesses in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and other countries within MENA.
  • Navigate the local regulatory environment and develop opportunities across different sectors.
  • Monitor the business environment and provide up-to-date market intelligence to Singapore-based companies to help advance their businesses in the Middle East.
  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate strategic contacts and partnerships to generate leads and for business matching across sectors.
  • Conduct sector and region-specific research and analysis to identify project and investment opportunities for Singapore-based companies, as well as monitor key growth areas to develop a strong pipeline of projects across sectors.
  • Frequent travel (>50% of the time) is required within the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and other countries within MENA.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Enterprise Singapore in Dubai or HQ.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in business development, market analysis, project sales, or related fields.
  • Extensive network of contacts in MENA as a base to further develop and generate a pipeline of projects and conversions for Singapore-based companies.
  • Technical background in either Energy, Infrastructure, Digital, or Mobility sectors would be a plus.
  • Familiar with government trade and investment promotion services.
  • Experience in conducting accurate research and compiling concise, accurate reports and presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the preparation of clear, concise, accurate reports and presentations.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong command of English and ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to uncertainty.
  • Able to travel extensively in the region.
  • You should be independent and results-oriented.
