Senior Business Developer

Initial 8/9 months contract with Plymouth City Council

This role is offering 13.45 P/Hr (UMB)

Job Summary:

To keep the city and local environment clean, tidy and adequately maintained with minimum disruption to residents and the public in compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

1. Collection of garden waste across the city.
2. Cleanse public land, highways, and main roads as directed by line manager.
3. Carry out grounds maintenance as directed, including using mechanical hand tools such as pedestrian mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters.

Essential Experience Required:

1. Experience of labouring work or heavy manual work.
2. Experience in delivering high standards of customer care.
3. Experience of working in a waste-based environment.
4. Experience of undertaking a variety of manual tasks in a recycling facility.
5. Experience of Health & Safety in an operational environment.

Essential Qualifications Required:

1. Functional skills in English and Maths Level 2, or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of waste and recycling collection service.
3. NVQ Level 2 Waste Management.
4. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH.
