Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the transportation industry, particularly in the implementation of digital booking systems. The role will be based in Dubai with occasional client meetings in Abu Dhabi. This position offers the opportunity to work on-site for an initial 2-month mission, which may be extended based on project requirements and performance.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, mapping out requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions for transportation booking systems. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in the success of the client's transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for transportation booking digital systems.
2. Lead requirement workshops and client meetings, ensuring all business needs are captured and aligned with the project scope.
3. Conduct gap analysis, identify potential areas of improvement, and propose solutions for process optimization within transportation systems.
4. Develop detailed functional specifications and user stories, ensuring clear communication between business and technical teams.
5. Facilitate communication between internal development teams and clients to ensure system design and implementation meet business objectives.
6. Provide subject matter expertise on transportation industry best practices, including booking systems, logistics, and transportation operations.
7. Support testing phases by ensuring that the solutions align with business needs and operational goals.
8. Monitor the implementation of the transportation booking system and ensure proper functionality post-launch, while providing ongoing support for any adjustments needed.
9. Assist in change management processes, ensuring seamless adoption of the new digital systems by clients' teams.
10. Travel occasionally to Abu Dhabi to meet clients for on-site project discussions, workshops, and presentations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the transportation sector, with a focus on digital systems implementation (transportation booking systems preferred).
3. Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and system implementation for transportation technologies.
4. Strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, including key business operations and digital transformation trends.
5. Experience with various agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
6. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
8. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
9. Willingness to travel to Abu Dhabi for client meetings.
