Senior Backend Python Developer (Django/FastAPI/Celery)

We seek a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team and design and develop critical systems for enterprise-grade applications.

Your role will include integrating our systems with third-party platforms to process complex data workflows and developing infrastructure for future projects and apps, ranging from behavioural science automation communication systems to fintech payment gateway applications.

You will be tasked with building and ensuring scalable solutions to support big data analytics. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will align backend solutions with business goals while adhering to best practices for data integrity and security.

Work with one of the fitness industry's technology pioneers, collaborating with intelligent engineers at every level from engineers to the CTO.

You will be based full-time at our head office in Dubai.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional back-end software engineering experience in Python.
• Some knowledge or experience in Kafka and Spark.
• Firm grasp of SQL; PostgreSQL preferred.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, query optimization, and data warehousing principles.
• Preferred experience with business intelligence visualization on Tableau.
• Experience working with queuing systems such as RabbitMQ, Celery and Redis.
• Experience with cloud-hosted infrastructure and technologies; AWS EC2, RDS, S3 preferred.
• Experience working on high-traffic backends is preferred.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, including asynchronous programming, queuing, logging, security, and persistence.
• Good understanding of build process management and continuous integration.
• Mastery of testing methodologies (unit tests, component tests, integration tests, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is an absolute must; we have deep debates around complicated subjects, and you will be expected to lead conversations around them.
