The Opportunity:

Presight is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team building end-to-end AI-powered data processing and analytics platform for the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building the foundation components for enterprise AI platform, such as:
  • Lakehouse solution based on industry-leading open source solutions such as Clickhouse, Trino and Spark.
  • In-house build distributed data processing and analytics pipeline engine (triggers, workers, DAGs).
  • Data Management and Governance, including sophisticated access control policies.
  • Analytical tools backends – search, notebooks, etc..
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to deliver high-quality AI/ML powered experiences that meet customer needs and business goals.
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Strong computer science and basic algorithms knowledge.
• 5+ years of experience in Java, building APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building large scale distributed fault tolerant services.
• Experience building: search, recommendations, or other advanced analytics systems.
• Strong knowledge about programming principles (SOLID).
• Strong understanding of data analytics fundamentals and knowledge of basic SQL.
• Atleast basic knowledge of python language and ecosystem.

It would be awesome if you have:

• Data engineer experience with Databricks, Snowflake or MS Fabric.
• Worked with Clickhouse on OLAP/DWH workloads.
• Are not afraid of navigating and troubleshooting front end code (Typescript/React).
• AI models, python notebooks is something you like to play with as well.
• Great communication skills and passion in technology and driving thing forward!
