Senior Auto mechanic

Job Summary:
An Auto Mechanic specializing in engine overhauling repairs and maintains vehicles' engines, diagnosing issues, disassembling components, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and reassembling the engine to ensure optimal performance. This role requires an in-depth understanding of engine mechanics, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of vehicle types.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engine Diagnostics:
   Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify engine problems, including mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
   Conduct thorough inspections and identify signs of wear or damage.
2. Disassembly & Inspection:
   Disassemble engines, inspect parts for damage, and assess the condition of components such as pistons, crankshafts, cylinder heads, valves, and gaskets.
   Clean and assess parts for reuse or replacement, ensuring all parts meet manufacturer specifications.
3. Engine Overhaul:
   Overhaul engines by replacing worn or damaged components (e.g., pistons, rings, bearings) and performing necessary repairs to restore engine performance.
   Rebuild engines to the manufacturer's specifications and ensure proper alignment and functioning of all components.
4. Assembly & Testing:
   Reassemble the engine, install new parts, and torque components to the specified values.
   Perform post-repair testing to ensure that the engine operates correctly, including compression tests, leak-down tests, and operational diagnostics.
5. Maintenance & Repair:
   Perform regular maintenance tasks such as changing oil, replacing filters, adjusting timing belts, and ensuring all parts are properly lubricated.
   Repair any associated parts, such as the fuel system, exhaust, or cooling system, that may be affecting engine performance.
6. Customer Communication:
   Provide customers with accurate estimates for engine repairs and overhauls.
   Explain complex mechanical issues in an understandable way, offering solutions and repair options.
   Keep customers informed about the progress of work and any additional repairs required.
7. Documentation & Record-Keeping:
   Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts replaced, and labor performed.
   Document the work done and maintain service history for each vehicle.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. In-depth knowledge of automotive engines, their components, and systems.
2. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and heavy-duty machinery.
3. Ability to perform both minor and major engine repairs, including rebuilding and reconditioning.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
5. Familiarity with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
6. Physical strength and dexterity to handle heavy engine components.
7. Good communication skills to explain issues to customers and collaborate with team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:
