Senior Associate Operational Risk and Resilience

Our Financial Services client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join their Operational Risk and Resilience team. This role will be instrumental in safeguarding their organization by conducting comprehensive risk assessments developing robust business continuity plans and ensuring adherence to operational resilience frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Risk Assessment & Management:
  
  • Lead and execute departmental and operational risk assessments employing established methodologies to identify key risks and evaluate residual risk ratings.
    
  • Collaborate with process and control owners to design modify and implement effective internal controls based on gap analyses addressing changes in existing and new activities.
    
  • Apply expertise in Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) engagements risk control matrices and deficiency categorization (material significant minor).
    
• Business Continuity & Resilience:
  
  • Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to define and develop comprehensive Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
    
  • Coordinate BCP testing and maintenance activities to ensure organizational readiness and resilience.
    
  • Manage and assess the Operational Resilience Framework across the portfolio ensuring alignment with best practices.
    
• Cyber Risk Management:
  
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cyber risk registers evaluating control effectiveness and residual risks.
    
  • Recommend and implement remediation plans to mitigate identified cyber risks.
    
• ThirdParty Deliverable Review:
  
  • Conduct thorough reviews of thirdparty deliverables including engagement proposals presentations frameworks policies and risk control matrices ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    

• Bachelors degree in Risk Management Resilience Accounting Finance or a related field.
  
• 67 years of proven experience in risk assessment management or consulting preferably within a fastpaced environment.
  
• Professional Certifications: CFA ACCA CA FRM BCM (at least one of these)
  
• Deep understanding of operational risk assessment methodologies and best practices.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of Business Continuity frameworks and practices.
  
• Strong understanding of COSO accounting concepts financial analysis terminology and ICFR requirements
  
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and methodologies.
  
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
