Senior Architect/ Fit-out Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the Design / site coordination process with other disciplines.
2. Review shop drawings and related construction documents.
3. Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
4. Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the architectural works that may affect construction progress, quality, and the like.
5. Hands-on in monitoring the interior architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
6. Review all shop drawings and architectural technical submittals.
7. Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out.
8. Review Contractor's installation method statements.
9. Review Contractor's proposed sub-contractor(s) associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint.
10. Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the works for Contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant's specification, good working practices, the construction schedule, and health & safety.
11. Lead the snagging and de-snagging process with an aim to progress the works to completion through this process.
12. Attend project, site progress, and any related technical meetings.
13. Oversee all architectural / fit-out work and ensure that installation activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
14. Ensure that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitor it for improvement.
15. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Degree in Architecture or related field.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years postgraduate experience and a minimum of 5 years of similar work experience on large projects.
3. Strong technical knowledge with the ability to resolve design issues on site.
4. A professional who can manage and coordinate specialized activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity.
