AECOM Middle East are currently seeking a Senior Advisor in HR operations for our UAE business. The Senior Advisor will work under the direction of the HRBP assists in overseeing the HR day-to-day operations support for an End Market. Providing operational HR support to ensure that HR practices and policies align with the strategic objectives of the End Market.

Core Accountabilities

  1. Delivers accurate and consistent advice and support to line managers on all aspects of employment policy and employee relations issues.
  2. Assists in administration of HR programs for the End Market.
  3. Assists with administering the Performance Management Process for the End Market.
  4. Responsible for the tracking and trending of HR data in areas of responsibility (e.g., sick leave, exit interviews, mandatory training, End Market reports, etc.).
  5. Handles terminations and conducts exit interviews.
  6. Conducts new employee orientations when required.
  7. Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
  9. Contributes to the development, implementation, and interpretation of new and existing HR programs and policies.
  10. Contributes to initiatives that will enhance motivation, team building, and general welfare.
  11. Responsible for facilitating resolution to employee relations matters and minimizing risk to the company.
  12. Support capability development of people managers on employee relations and performance activities through coaching and advice.
  13. Refers to HRBP for guidance on more complex issues.

Key Attributes:

  1. 6-9 years experience working in HR operations for a matrix organization.
  2. Ability to work on own initiative and work well under pressure, not afraid to ask questions.
  3. Flexibility to undertake site visits (has driver's license and is willing to travel).
  4. Self-motivated.
  5. Confident to deal with all levels of employees across the organisation both verbally and in writing.
  6. Not afraid to deal with conflict, calm under pressure.
  7. Flexible attitude to assist in other areas as and when required.
  8. Strong decision-making skills.
  9. Excellent coaching and influencing skills.
  10. Ability to plan and prioritise and make decisions.
  11. Ability to influence and interact with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications:

Degree plus professional membership or working towards (CIPD etc.).
