Job Overview
Oversee the financial operations and ensure accuracy in financial statement, reconciliations, and tax compliance. This role involves working closely with the Regional CFO and respective entity Director and managing the accounting team.
Job Duties/Roles
- Supervise all tasks relating to the companies of the regional perimeter accounting management
- Responsible for directing and managing the accounting resources within assigned perimeter region.
- Work with the accounting SCC.
- Assist regional perimeter management through the provision of effective financial reporting, including review and analysis of variances to budget and forecast.
- Maintenance and development of an effective internal controls environment, including all areas of responsibility within the Divisional Financial Service Center. Maintenance of adequate accounting records to support the accounting transactions.
- ensure the accuracy of the financial data reported monthly to the group.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing, prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, and budget vs. actual analysis
- Preparation of periodic budgets and forecasts for the Region(s), in cooperation with the controller
- Preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns for the assigned regions
- Oversee accounts payables and receivables. Managing customer collection
- Manage intercompany transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting, and payment
- Verify supporting documents for bank payments
- Monitor banking operations
- Coordinate and work with external auditors and other officials as necessary
- Responsible for working with the International Tax Manager in handling of company tax audits with relevant foreign tax authorities for foreign offices.
- Coordination and administration of external audits.
- Working with and assisting Legal Department on accounting related matters including establishment of new branches or subsidiaries, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, bank account set up etc.
- Provide training and guidance to FSG staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external clients.
- Good managerial skills in the areas of team leadership, development, organization, planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably Oracle and D365.
- Know how to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
Minimum years of Experience
A minimum of fifteen (15) years previous accounting and tax experience including a successful experience within a multinational and with a team management experience.
Required/Preferred Education Requirements
CA/CPA/master’s in finance
Required/Preferred Professional Requirements
A professional financial or tax certification, i.e., CPA or Chartered Accountant.
