Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles (HGB/IFRS) and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
• Prepare and file local tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on the organization, implementing necessary updates to processes.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial analysis.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
• Support in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software - SAP and MS Excel.
• In-depth understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
