Senior Accountant

Our client, a European software solution provider, is looking to recruit a young and dynamic Senior Accountant for their Dubai operations.

You would have to be immediately available.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Middle East and Asia and to the Regional CFO based in Europe, you will be responsible for the preparation and management of the accounting for the Dubai entity.

Responsibilities:

1. Systems & Procedures: Deal with project managers to update the status of their projects into our internal system and ensure that all internal rules are followed.
2. Prepare all documentation and data to be sent to the accounting companies in Singapore and Hong Kong for the preparation of the monthly financial statements.
3. Accounts Receivable: Prepare client invoices, record all accounting entries, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
4. Monthly Revenue Calculation.
5. Management of Accounts Payable.
6. Management of payroll and staff benefits.
7. Review and process employees' expenses.
8. Cash management: Process suppliers’ invoices payment; prepare weekly cash flow reports for the managing director; reconcile bank accounts and petty cash.
9. General Ledger: Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts with particular attention to the intercompany accounts.
10. Monthly preparation of cut-off for Dubai’s entity.
11. Monthly preparation of management reporting for Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore entities to be sent to HQ, e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Cash Flow Statement, Consolidation pack.
12. Auditing: Analyze previous & future figures; liaise with internal and external auditors.

3. Ability to work under pressure.
4. 4 to 6 years of general accounting experience.
5. Experience using accounting software (ideally QuickBooks).
