Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results
• Analysing financial information and summarising financial status
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures

What you'll need to succeed

• Russian speaker is essential
• Knowledge of IFRS, possession of a GAAP or IFRS professional certificate
• Understanding of VAT and corporate taxation specifics in the UAE
• Experience with accounting software used for bookkeeping according to the IFRS standards
• Full-cycle accounting, from the input of primary documents to report preparation
