Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
2. Budget Analysis: Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of departmental budgets, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
3. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance on accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
4. Account Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are promptly addressed and resolved.
5. Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process, providing documentation and explanations as required.
6. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines.
7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement controls, and improve efficiency within the department.
8. Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and other financial assessments to identify areas for improvement and support decision-making.
9. Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance.
10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, HR, and management, to provide financial insights and support organizational goals.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA Inter designation preferred.
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
5. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
