Senior Accountant

Job Description

• Manage all accounting transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements in a timely manner.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely processing of bank payments and deposits.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns as per UAE regulations.
• Maintain and analyze balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Monitor financial health, liquidity, and cash flows of the business.
• Conduct audits of financial transactions and documents.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
• Maintain data confidentiality and perform financial database backups when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Xero, FreshBooks, and QuickBooks.
• Advanced Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions and financial reporting.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to detect numerical errors.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
