Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
2. General Ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate data recordings & system reporting.
3. Responsible for the whole Payroll process for designated companies/business units.
4. Entry and follow-up of employees' deductions, loans, additions, commissions, unpaid leaves.
5. Record fixed assets into financial software (FA module) and maintain an accurate fixed asset register.
6. Review depreciation before posting monthly entries in financial software.
7. Manage bank account reconciliations.
8. Coordinate with vendors to reconcile and release their payments.
9. Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results.
10. Organize financial statements and budget preparation, accurately and timely.
11. Participate in VAT & CT tax audit and tax returns.
12. Assist with annual audit preparations and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
13. Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
14. Participate in department goal-setting activities and month-end and year-end close processes.
15. Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation.
16. Ensure that accounting procedures comply with IFRS requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. 10 years experience particularly in construction and transport industry.
3. Strong Arabic language communication skills; preferable Arab national.
4. Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
5. Good practical experience with accounting software packages, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks.
6. Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
