Section Head – Crop Planning

Position Overview

The Section Head Crop Planning will lead the development, analysis, and implementation of crop plans, ensuring alignment with sales demand and farmers expressions of interest. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire crop planning process, driving cross-functional collaboration, and managing relationships with farmers to ensure objectives are met.

Position Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities as Section Head Crop Planning will include the following:

1. Oversee the creation and analysis of crop plans, ensuring they are aligned with sales demand, market requirements, and farmers capabilities.
2. Ensure long-term planning strategies are in place to meet business objectives.
3. Develop and nurture strong relationships with farmers, ensuring their understanding of and commitment to crop plan objectives.
4. Act as the key point of contact between different departments to ensure alignment on crop plan execution, resource allocation, and meeting demand forecasts.
5. Continuously monitor the progress of the crop planning process, providing regular updates to senior management.

Position Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field from a recognized and accredited university.
2. Proven experience (6+ years) in crop planning, agriculture, or related industry, with experience in a leadership or managerial role.
