Ras Al Khaimah National Insurance Company (P.S.C.), carrying out its commercial activity under the name RAKINSURANCE, is a public shareholding company established in 1976 and registered with the Central Bank of the UAE as an insurance company under registration number (7) and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) with an authorized paid-up capital of AED 121,275,000.

RAKINSURANCE provides a comprehensive range of insurance products through various distribution channels and has additional branches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Act as the Board-appointed Secretary, reporting directly to the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, maintaining independence from company management.
  2. Organize and manage all aspects of Board and committee meetings, including drafting agendas, taking minutes, and distributing them as required.
  3. Provide comprehensive support to the Board and its committees, including attending and minuting meetings, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring all governance documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  4. Manage communication and correspondence with relevant authorities and stakeholders, and provide support to Management Committees when necessary.
  5. Draft, review, and edit policies related to Board matters, such as Remuneration and Selection policies, and present these for approval to the respective committees.
  6. Maintain a record of governance policies, Board member appointments, term dates, and other pertinent documentation, ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate governance standards.
  7. Assist in the Board evaluation process and support the Board of Directors with requests, inquiries, and governance-related issues.

What You Should Have

  1. A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or equivalent qualification.
  2. At least three years of practical experience, preferably in corporate governance or Board Secretarial practice.
  3. Certification in Board Secretarial Practice is preferred.
  4. Strong technical knowledge of governance, compliance, and Board processes.
