Secondary Mathematics Teacher

The Secondary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to students in grades 6-12. This role involves preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. The teacher works within a collaborative academic setting and adheres to the UAE Ministry of Education guidelines or relevant curriculum standards such as British, American, or IB frameworks.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning and delivering well-structured mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
2. Preparing assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing timely feedback.
3. Encouraging student participation and supporting individual learning styles and abilities.
4. Integrating technology and interactive teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
5. Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
6. Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic reports.
7. Managing classroom behavior and promoting a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
8. Participating in parent-teacher meetings, extracurricular activities, and school events.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2-5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
3. Familiarity with international or UAE-based curriculum standards.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
5. Proficient in using educational technology, learning management systems, and digital tools.
6. Passion for teaching, with a commitment to student development and academic excellence.
7. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
8. Compliance with UAE regulations for teaching professionals, including attested qualifications and relevant approvals.
