We invite you to join our Team as an SCMS Configuration Engineer, where you'll be part of a team that's shaping the future of energy systems.
What You'll Do:
- Design, configure, and implement substation automation systems to optimize monitoring, control, and protection functions in electrical substations.
- Take responsibility for configuring PC networking, switches, routers, GPS, firewalls, and ensuring cybersecurity within substation systems.
- Prepare and approve key engineering documents such as FDS (Functional Design Specifications), System Architecture, Signal Lists, and Bills of Materials.
- Develop essential Testing & Commissioning documents including FAT, SAT, test reports, and schedule plans.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity measures into substation automation architectures.
- Implement network segmentation, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure remote access solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into substation automation projects and system upgrades.
- Parameterize substation automation systems for optimal performance and seamless integration.
- Plan and conduct training sessions and customer presentations to support the deployment and adoption of our systems.
What You Bring:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, particularly in the configuration of PC networking, switches, routers, GPS, firewalls, and cybersecurity.
- Strong expertise in Windows, PC applications, PC communication, and serial/IP networking.
- Experience with Modbus, IEC Tester, IED Scout, and Wireshark.
- Proficiency in integrating Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), RTUs, Gateways, and HMIs to enable remote monitoring and control.
- Deep knowledge of communication protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, DNP3, OPC, and Modbus TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with Process Bus Technology and IO Mapping in substation automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens SICAM (PAS, Toolbox, WinCC, SCC) solutions, SICAM A8000, SICAM SCC, and Device Manager.
- Proven background in OT security, industrial control systems, and compliance with IEC 62443 standards.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and security architecture design.
- Practical knowledge of security tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure communication protocols.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20-30% of the time), including overseas and site visits.
