Job description

The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls

The Sheikh Zayed Private Academies are leading US-curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi, delivering outstanding education for students from Pre-KG to Grade 12. The schools' reputations for high quality education, outstanding facilities, and innovative use of technology are well established in the UAE.

The Sheikh Zayed Academy for Girls is offering a remarkable opportunity for an experienced female school leader to join the Academy as Principal from August 2025.

Founded in 2000, SZPAG accommodates a diverse student body aged 3 to 18. It follows a co-educational model from Pre-K through Grade 3, transitioning to an all-girls setup from Grade 4 onward. Managed by Al Ain Educational Investments (AAEI), the Academy upholds the highest standards of education, blending a rigorous curriculum with holistic development opportunities that prepare students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Working closely with AAEI and the SZPA Executive Superintendent, the Principal will implement the educational strategy for the Academy and provide operational leadership in order to achieve or exceed the Academy's objectives, aligned with the vision, mission, and core values.

We welcome applications from female, native English-speaking candidates who can demonstrate a proven track record of leadership and experience, including:

  1. A minimum of 10 years in education, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as Principal, Head of School, or similar, in high performing US and/or UK curriculum schools.
  2. Extensive experience and knowledge of school inspection processes (e.g., Ofsted, ADEK, KHDA) and of accreditation (e.g., NEASC, CIS).
  3. A history of successfully implementing innovative educational programs and fostering high academic standards.
  4. Experience working in international or culturally diverse school environments, preferably within the GCC region.
  5. A deep appreciation and respect for Emirati culture, values, and traditions, with the ability to integrate these into the Academy's ethos and daily operations.
  6. Exceptional skills in engaging and uniting diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
  7. The ability to craft and execute long-term strategies that prioritize innovation in education, such as STEAM, sustainability, and the development of future-ready skills.
