Team Leader
We are looking for an experienced Sales Team Leader with a strong background in the gaming industry to manage and inspire a high-performing team of sales representatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) sales within the gaming industry, as well as a deep understanding of gaming products, services, and market dynamics. As a Team Leader, you will drive sales, develop strategies, mentor your team, and cultivate long-term relationships with clients to maximize revenue growth and ensure the team’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and inspire a team of sales representatives to consistently exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to help team members grow and improve their skills.
- Organize and conduct team meetings to share best practices, address challenges, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Continuously monitor and assess team performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives and addressing any gaps.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to increase revenue and market share within the gaming industry.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure sales goals align with the overall business objectives and strategies.
- Actively participate in client calls and meetings to close high-value deals and strengthen customer relationships.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer insights to adapt sales strategies effectively.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including gaming distributors, retailers, esports organizations, and direct-to-consumer clients.
- Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, quickly resolving any issues to foster customer loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and promote subscriptions or additional services to existing clients.
- Work with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional activities, product launches, and campaigns.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and track team sales performance using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure data accuracy.
- Generate and analyze regular reports on team performance, market trends, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Identify areas for improvement based on performance data and proactively implement coaching or additional training as needed.
Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Conduct regular training sessions on the latest gaming industry trends, product updates, and effective sales techniques.
- Keep the team informed about new gaming products, releases, and consumer preferences to improve sales approaches.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing by collaborating with other team leaders and departments.
Collaboration with Other Teams
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure seamless integration of sales activities with broader company initiatives.
- Provide feedback to product teams on customer feedback and emerging trends to inform future product development.
- Work closely with customer support teams to resolve issues and ensure a smooth, positive customer experience.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process to identify and hire new sales team members who align with the company’s goals and culture.
- Support the onboarding of new hires, ensuring they understand the company’s products, sales processes, and the gaming industry landscape.
Required Experience:
Experience:
- 5+ years of leadership sales experience in the gaming industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Strong experience in using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage sales pipelines, track performance, and report results.
Skills:
- Expertise in sales strategies, negotiations, and closing high-value deals in the gaming space.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales talent.
- Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal teams, to align on goals and drive performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the gaming market, products, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
Education:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
