An Automotive Sales Team Leader oversees the sales team, develops sales strategies, and ensures the dealership meets its sales targets. They are responsible for managing the sales process, training and mentoring sales consultants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team.
Implement sales targets and goals for the team as per company overall objectives and agreements.
Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress and set objectives.
Sales Strategies:
Implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Monitor market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with marketing to create promotions and campaigns to boost sales.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and business partners.
Training and Development:
Train new sales consultants in product knowledge, sales techniques, and dealership processes.
Provide ongoing training and mentorship to improve the skills and performance of the sales team.
Stay updated with industry trends and new sales techniques and share knowledge with the team.
Sales Process Optimization:
Streamline the sales process to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that sales consultants follow the established sales procedures and guidelines.
Implement best practices for customer relationship management (CRM) and sales tracking.
Customer Service Excellence:
Monitor and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
Address customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure that the sales team provides exceptional customer service during every interaction.
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with the inventory team to optimize stock levels based on customer demand and market trends.
Monitor vehicle availability and ensure a diverse range of models to meet customer needs.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure that the sales team adheres to legal and ethical standards in all sales activities.
Stay updated with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Adhere to OEM standards and requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster positive communication and collaboration between the sales department and other departments within the dealership.
Coordinate with finance, service, and parts departments to provide seamless customer experiences.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5-7 years' experience of proven track record in sales of automotive volume brands in the UAE market.
Team management experience is a must.
Strong background in customer service and satisfaction.
