Sales Specialist
We are looking for Sales Specialists to acquire new merchants for Nomod.
Full-time positions available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Northern Emirates.

About the job
We are looking for Sales Specialists to join our team in three locations: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Northern Emirates. The ideal candidate is someone who can think on their feet, has great communication skills, understands the art of persuasion, and relishes selling innovative technology.

As a Sales Specialist you will:

  1. Develop leads, identify, engage with, and acquire new merchants.
  2. Onboard new merchants by assisting them with verification, training them on how to use Nomod, and running their first transactions.
  3. Generate creative ideas about how to grow our merchant base and our payments volume.
  4. Grow existing merchants by understanding how they operate, their priorities, and how Nomod can help grow their business.
  5. Create and define new processes to improve our existing sales process.
  6. Listen for and collate feedback from merchants.
  7. Be the voice of our merchants to ensure that we are building products that address their needs.
  8. Learn, understand, and dive deep into finance and technology ideas that affect our merchants.
  9. Work with an agile, globally distributed team and be able to harness constructive feedback.
  10. Be proud of what you work on, whilst obsessing about the quality of what you produce.
  11. Have regular opportunities for career growth. We are growing quickly and are forming new teams as we do. We have a bias towards internal promotion into leadership roles.

What we’d like
You do not need to be intimately familiar with any of the technologies that we work with. Great people are effective at quickly learning what we use or introducing us to new ways of working. Having said that, we think a Sales Specialist should:

  1. Be educated to at least degree level or equivalent.
  2. Have previous experience in acquiring merchants for banking or fintech.
  3. Have field sales experience.
  4. Know Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Northern Emirates really well.
  5. Have a UAE driving license.
  6. Have the ability to quickly build rapport and see things from the perspective of our users.
  7. Obsess about making and keeping users happy.
  8. Have lots of energy, be proactive, think fast, and revel in solving problems.
  9. Enjoy building relationships with people, and have excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  10. Be creative, innovative, and data-driven.
  11. Deliver no matter what it takes.
  12. Have the ability to thrive in a fully remote, distributed organization.
  13. Be lots of fun to work with!

Nice to haves
Prior experience at a high-growth startup or at an established fintech firm.
Fluency in other languages in addition to English including Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam.
Experience working with a remote, global, multicultural team.
