Job description

Job Title: Sales Manager – **6 Month Maternity Cover**

The Position

Position title: Sales Manager

Position Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting Relationships: Country Manager

Collaborates with: Commercial Department

Specific Responsibilities

Market Development

  1. Define and deliver the market development plan & brand acceleration strategy across channels and touchpoints
  2. Influence the brands strategy for the markets ; in terms of assortment, representation, business model, distribution & agent selection / management
  3. Main contributor to the markets KPI’s : MS, MC, SISO, A&P and Key influencer of tade strategy, spend and forecast

Agent Relationships

  1. Build and nurture excellent ties with Guerlain’s agents and capitalize on it to serve the best interests of the brand
  2. Work hand in hand with the local agents to better position the brand in the market, while respecting the brands guidelines, DNA & long term strategies
  3. Establish daily/weekly/monthly drumbeats with regards to reporting, data collection and markets opportunities

Key Accounts Management

  1. Work closely with regional key accounts, to provide feedback, competition best practices and ensure timely execution of regional plans and strategies
  2. Engage directly with key local accounts to negotiate locations, trade terms, incremental visibility & eventing that best serves the brands ambitions
  3. Build relationships with key stakeholders depending on the market specificities. Help in positioning the brand as top of mind (Landlords, Department Stores, KOL’s …)

Financials (P&L)

  1. Define the SISO plan as well as the investment strategy & budget per market to deliver the target OP and MS aspiration of the brand
  2. Ensure the proper and approved A&P spending an timely reporting by the agent (BA’s, Bonuses, Commissions, Trade, POSM, Capex…)
  3. Handle ongoing negotiations and refinement of Price Structures, margins & other commercial conditions to elevate the brands profitability

Team Management

  1. Coach and elevate the know how and technical skills of the sales coordinators within the team
  2. Build close relationships with brand managers and frontliners in the markets linked to KPI’s and deliverables facilitating a better business performance

The Person

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Proven working experience as a Sales Manager or similar relevant experience
  2. Proven Negotiation Skills
  3. Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
  4. Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
  5. Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
  6. Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
  7. Outstanding communication skills
  8. Degree in Business Administration or Management
