Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all Minor Hotels product and service offerings, as well as competitors' products, services, rates, and industry trends.
Approach personal sales activities strategically, understanding the importance of the current account base and directing sales efforts accordingly.
Review actual production of each account against potential and suggest improvements with department leadership.
Establish new client contacts and develop detailed information on potential revenues from these accounts.
Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives, working with department leadership to meet these objectives.
Take responsibility for professional development, ensuring you possess the necessary financial literacy, negotiation, and face-to-face selling skills.
Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results and action planning.
Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal procedures for expenditure approval.
Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows as required to meet hotel sales targets.
Liaise effectively with operational colleagues to ensure accurate delivery of services.
Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Minor Hotels products.
Maintain a full working knowledge of IT support tools used in sales, including sales-specific software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office tools.
Ensure all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
Keep Opera updated with activities in a timely manner.
Prepare the monthly sales report in line with property requirements.
Attend owners' meetings as required.
Evaluate potential property buyout agreements.
Focus on product launches and bespoke meetings and incentives.
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of sales experience in a 5-star hotel, with 1+ years at the manager level.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, email).
Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership qualities.
