Purpose of Role / Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing a sales team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring that sales targets are consistently met. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our customer base, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall business strategy. Experience in sales within the financial services and/or brokerage industry is a must. Proven track record of success in sales and team leadership is also needed.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Sales Manager, leveraging your expertise to cultivate and bring in your own sales portfolios.
  • Lead and mentor a team of BDM's and Senior BDM's, providing them with the necessary support and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the team to achieve sales targets, forecasting expected sales and profits for existing and new products.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and practical advice to the team to enhance their performance and drive results.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the relationship management team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and values.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to devise effective strategies, offerings, procedures, and promotions.
  • Innovate and explore new business development strategies, translating them into profitable ventures.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between sales and other departments, ensuring a consistent closed loop for lead and opportunity management.
  • Monitor and analyze lead and pipeline data to validate quality and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Any other duties relevant to the role.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the financial services or brokerage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire, coach, and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, market trends, and client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
