Job description

The Sales Manager - Data Center Projects will oversee and drive the sales of data center solutions, including infrastructure and services, across various industries within the UAE. This role involves strategic planning, business development, and team management to achieve and surpass sales targets while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and propose a sales budget for the financial year based on market analysis, product offerings, and industry trends.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales budgets and margin targets on an annual basis.
  • Employ a consultative selling approach to understand and address customer needs and challenges effectively.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer requirements, and potential opportunities within the UAE data center sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Collect and analyze information on competitor pricing and market positioning.
  • Position products and services within a competitive price range to meet gross profit targets while aligning with customer expectations.
  • Plan, organize, and participate in sales team meetings, conferences, presentations, and customer training sessions to support business activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on progress toward sales plans and objectives.
  • Build and lead a team of sales professionals dedicated to growing the data center business.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in sales and business development within the data center or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including cooling systems, power distribution, UPS systems, and network components.
  • Familiarity with major data center hardware and software solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP & CRM systems.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and complex deal closures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Technical proficiency in data center systems, including DCS, PLC, SCADA, and related technologies.
