Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to join our team. You will be developing sales plan and strategy based on knowledge of the market, customers, competitors, and Hitachi Energy install base to capture opportunities and increase Hitachi Energy market share. You will be effectively applying the sales and related sales tools in order to capture opportunities, manage customer relations, improve internal communications, and increase sales efficiency.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Promoting customer understanding of full services offering and aligning to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Building long-term customer commitment in complex business situations.
  • Maintaining and utilizing an extensive network of contacts both inside and outside the organization to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Creating added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensuring successful outcomes by using value-based selling. Actively finding short- and long-term opportunities to increase sales within your area of responsibility. Balancing short-term success with long-term effectiveness. Taking initiative in complex tasks and projects. Acting as a coach to colleagues in overcoming obstacles and dealing with challenges.
  • Creating significant business opportunities based on analysis. Understanding customers and relevant competitors' market strategies and suggesting solutions to meet changing needs.
  • Negotiating contract conditions, commercial, financial, and legal terms in order to improve terms & conditions. Complying with the risk management process to ensure cost efficiency. Taking action to minimize risks.
  • Full understanding of the sales process and related tools. Participating in the improvement of the sales process and related tools. Training colleagues in using the sales tools and understanding the sales process.
  • Full understanding of the service portfolio in order to sell services and create service opportunities for products. Analyzing customer situations on the installed base. Proposing Hitachi Energy service solutions in order to solve specific issues.
  • Proactively working with customers to explore operational needs and expectations. Analyzing customer expectations to recommend solutions. Contributing to the solution by negotiating deviations and agreeing on win-win situations.
  • Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • A bachelor's degree in electromechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales.
  • Good communication skills, contract management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel within the UAE.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required; Arabic language is a plus.
