In this role, you will collaborate across the Profiles team to secure and grow revenue from new clients focussing on the Middle East and North Africa markets, with a particular focus on UAE and Saudi markets, but also Egypt, Morocco, Kuwait and Qatar as secondary focus. Handling sales outreach, prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals. The successful candidate will show strong sales prowess, meeting targets, and excellent communication/negotiation skills.

Establishing connections and developing leads with business targets, you'll be working together with our extended team in South Africa. Including:

  • Driving and maintaining sales amongst current and new Kantar Profiles Enterprise clients
  • Driving sales from a selection of current strategic and ad-hoc Kantar clients, working with the Kantar Insights and Business Development Executive team leads to identify opportunities
  • Contributing to a commercial team operating with a start-up mentality, you will bring a business development approach and energy to targeting new clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Prospecting, Lead Generation and Qualification: Pro-actively identify potential new logos / accounts in the Middle East through various channels (external and internal), including cold calling, approaching via different channels, networking events, online research, and referrals. Conduct thorough research to understand prospect needs and tailor sales pitches accordingly.
  • Costing & Projects: Create and manage detailed cost estimates and feasibilities (including sample design/QCC) for external projects to keep everything running smoothly and within budget. Effectively use Kantar costing tools and methodologies for project costing, commissioning and CRM system. Responsible for Forecasting and Pipeline management for MENAP.
  • Sales Proposals, Presentations and Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations and demonstrations to potential clients. Highlight the value proposition and unique selling points of Profiles’ products or services, addressing client needs and positioning solutions as valuable business investments.
  • Renewal/cross-sell pitching: Lead renewal and cross-sell pitches with support from the Key Account Management team including creation of materials, leading client communication and presentations as required.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Engage in effective negotiation techniques to overcome objections, address pricing concerns, and finalize contracts. Work closely with wider teams i.e. Client Success Team, to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM software. Continuously monitor and manage the sales pipeline, providing regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.

The skills & experience needed as a Sales Manager

  • B2B sales experience, with a focus on new business acquisition, winning new logos and revenue growth in market research industry, or similar industry
  • Develops and executes comprehensive sales strategies to win new logos.
  • Effective prospecting and lead generation abilities.
  • Independently manages the end-to-end sales process for new business deals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with prospects and key decision-makers.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients
  • Effective sales, negotiation and deal closing skills; with consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to deliver persuasive proposals, presentations and product demonstrations
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and reporting
