PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends daily morning sales meeting.
  • Calls local agents, companies, organizations, and airlines.
  • Contacts clients and develops business leads.
  • Documents all contacts with clients.
  • Submits call reports on a daily basis.
  • Forwards relevant confirmation to clients on any business secured.
  • Develops new business from local agents, companies, organizations, and airlines.
  • Schedules sales blitz to local companies and airlines to promote the hotel.
  • Advises management of sales effort progress and bookings.
  • Follows, reviews, and advises the superior on ways to improve the Sales and Marketing Standards and Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Appraises performance of Sales employees under supervision periodically according to Human Resources policy and initiates appropriate corrective measures to improve deficiencies.
  • Exercises administrative supervision on Sales employees which includes personnel requisition, disciplinary action, promotion and training, and approves leave and overtime requests.
  • Checks and ensures that the jobs assigned to subordinates have been effectively completed on a timely basis and according to hotel's expectations.
  • Recommends corrective actions for unfavorable variances in job standards and budget commitment.
  • Proposes and executes an effective duty to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance with volume of business.
  • Establishes two-way communication within and related departments.
  • Communicates effectively with guests, subordinates, immediate supervisors, and other section heads.
  • Attends daily briefing and departmental meetings as assigned by supervisor.
  • Manages time effectively by meeting deadlines.
  • Identifies and solves problems in a professional manner.
  • Assists others to ensure the operation runs smoothly and effectively.
Technical Responsibilities:

  • Knows, understands, and reviews the job description of all positions in the department and is able to perform the tasks as required.
  • Knows and understands policies of the department well and can guide others to perform the job well.
  • Recognizes and is able to manage to maintain good quality products and presentation.
  • Checks, reviews, and proposes service standards established by the company.
  • Provides assistance to employees when required.
  • Maintains self and all personnel's grooming standards.
  • Concerns and promotes the hotel's environmental programs and other programs organized by the hotel and employees.
  • Manages waste by reducing and recycling, and carefully using resources.
  • Approves and is responsible for the requisition point and par stock of products used by the department.
Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with guests, clients, business partners, and staff.
  • Acts as a good salesperson to promote the hotel's image and businesses.
  • Participates in community projects or activities to promote the hotel's image and improve community relationships.
Human Resources Responsibilities:

  • Evaluated according to the performance evaluation program.
  • Attends training as required by the company to develop professionally.
  • Motivates all employees to grow within the company.
RELATIONSHIP:

  • Reports to Director of Sales or Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Coordinates with all concerned personnel to ensure that all activities are accomplished.
  • Interacts with clients, guests, government officials, suppliers, and other important individuals in the community to promote the hotel.
Others:

  • Continuous learning through own Individual Development Plan (IDP).
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience in a similar capacity.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Result-oriented with a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel.
  • Professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
