Job description

Job Title: Merchant Relationship Management Associate

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Position Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Head of Merchant Relationship Management

Key Responsibilities

Client & Merchant Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned merchants, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Respond promptly to merchant inquiries, concerns, or issues and ensure effective resolution.
  • Manage client requirements related to discounts, special offers, and promotional deals.
  • Ensure the monthly new offer requirements of clients are met while maintaining a diverse category range.
  • Regularly update and maintain client trackers, logos, and images to ensure brand consistency.
  • Oversee the renewal process, ensuring timely renewals and contract continuity.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior executives or relevant departments for resolution.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify new sales opportunities within the existing merchant base to drive additional revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategies to upsell and cross-sell loyalty solutions or SaaS products to merchants.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential merchant partners and pitch our loyalty solutions effectively.
  • Work closely with the sales team to drive business development initiatives and onboard high-value merchants.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize sales processes and improve merchant engagement.

Merchant Onboarding & Training

  • Assist in onboarding new merchants, ensuring they understand our platform's features, functionalities, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide training and resources to help merchants maximize the benefits of our services.

Relationship Building & Client Retention

  • Foster strong relationships with merchants through regular communication, business reviews, and proactive support.
  • Participate in client meetings and strategic discussions to enhance merchant satisfaction and engagement.
  • Implement merchant engagement strategies to increase retention and prevent churn.

Sales Performance & Feedback Collection

  • Gather and analyze feedback from merchants regarding their experiences, challenges, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Track and report sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior executives to refine sales and account management strategies based on merchant insights.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of loyalty rewards and privileges programs.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in SaaS or loyalty solutions.
  • Ability to establish and grow merchant relationships to drive sales and revenue.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven approach to meeting sales targets.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks assigned by management to align with company priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
