Achieve monthly budget goals and new business targets.
Set up and maintain good working relationships with all other areas of the hotel’s operations, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Accounting, Reservations, etc.
Prospect by telephone cold-calling to establish territories.
Establish and maintain corporate accounts with clients.
Follow-up with clients before, during and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeat business.
Make reservations on behalf of clients.
Follow-up with clients who utilize property.
Handle complaints and pass them on to Senior Sales Manager.
Follow-up leads provided by Global Sales Offices.
Research and present lost business reports at the Monthly Sales Meetings.
Travel throughout GCC countries and internationally when necessary.
Provide Senior Sales Manager with weekly sales reports.
Provide Banqueting Department with any leads received through corporate clients.
Attend various trade shows and functions as required.
Maintain familiarity with and analyze the competition from other hotels which will be designated.
Contribute to the overall market plan for Majlis Grand Mercure Residence.
Participate in training programs.
React promptly to requests by Senior Sales Manager for reports and other assignments.

Occasional Responsibilities
To report any equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department.
Pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department.
To participate in any Training/Development schemes as recommended by senior management.
Assist the Duty Manager in any task outlined/detailed by him/her.
To comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability.
Legal Responsibilities
To ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.
HSE Responsibilities
Assists & participates in environmental improvement programs which help to reduce, reuse & recycle air, water & energy resources.
Shall observe Company’s all safety & environmental rules and regulations.
Shall report any unsafe conditions or environmental issues to their In-charge/Foreman or Safety Personnel.
Shall comply with all the rules and regulations implemented by the Hotel Authorities and ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner.
