Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the utility scale market business in the SSA & MENA region, aligned with company objectives; translate these strategies into tangible KPIs and measure performance against targets.
Maintain a close relationship with key existing customer base, ensuring high customer satisfaction at all times, and develop strong relationships with potential new EPCs, developers and investors.
Lead a small but growing team of experienced key account managers to achieve individual and collective targets.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective actions and initiatives as needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region.
Ensure strong collaboration with local Sales Operations, Logistics and Planning teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
Coordinate with internal departments to address any commercial, technical and/or financial objections or hurdles.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the relevant markets to further accelerate growth.
Develop and execute a relevant pricing strategy for the respective business segment.
Forecast sales volumes weekly to the most accurate extent possible.
Represent the company and brand professionally at trade shows and other industry events to create awareness and demand for products and attract new accounts.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities to further accelerate growth.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, and external regulations at all times.
Actively manage company risks involved in the sales process.
Qualifications:
University degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
10+ years of sales experience in the PV market; PV module sales and Key Accounts experience preferred.
5+ years of experience in a sales management role and in driving business growth in the SSA/MENA region.
Familiar with the pursuing interests of the players in the solar sectors; Excellent knowledge about regional market drivers and customer structure.
Experience in value selling and designing and implementing sales penetration strategy/plans.
Well-connected across the region in the field of solar business with a valid and reliable network.
