We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join our team. This role is central to the growth and success of our luxury hospitality business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hotel and resort industry, with a proven track record in sales strategy development, business development, customer relationship management, negotiation, and sales planning. As a leader, you will guide our sales team, penetrate key business activities within the marketplace, and find profitable ways to bring this business to our hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing excellent service.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Prepare annual budgets and sales forecasts, reporting to the management team on trends, results, and projections.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Ensure the hotel's service standards, guest relations, and etiquette are upheld to maintain our luxury hospitality reputation.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Work closely with other department heads and staff to ensure sales strategies align with the overall company goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role within the luxury hospitality, hotel, or resort industry.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business and sales plans.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation and sales planning skills.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, market research, and budgeting.
  • Solid knowledge of hotel service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to penetrate key business activities within the marketplace and find profitable ways to bring this business to the hotel.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
