Job description

Hunting is looking for an experienced Sales and Technical Engineer who will be responsible for providing guidance and support to all departments ensuring optimal performance. Engaging in the concept stage, defining the specification and requirements of the service, deliverables and developments of new products, manufacturing processes. The job holder will play a major role in the development of new products, responsible for development and maintenance of customer relations and identifying new business opportunities within the Dubai facility.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Technical Sales support and business development
  • Engaging on a technical level within the Company to ensure that all departments give and receive the best possible support and assistance with technical matters
  • Engaging with Engineering Department from the conceptual design of new products and providing operational guidance and support
  • Liaising with other technical arms of the organisation to exploit opportunities for cooperation wherever possible
  • Assisting in the development and commercialisation of new product lines
  • Ensuring that the customer has been quoted/offered the best for use product through the Contract Review Process
  • Raising the profile of the Company whenever and wherever possible and promoting all the company's products and services as and when the opportunity arises
  • Supporting tenders and providing technical input on bids
  • Supporting and guiding new program and/or product development and deployment with the Sales team as part of the marketing launch plan, which is aligned to the Global marketing strategy
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of product demonstrations (presentations), training programs, publications and projects for Sales staff and customers
  • Initiating, encouraging and sharing ideas for new product programs and service offerings. This will facilitate innovation and market segment development
  • Liaising with Sales/Commercial and Finance departments to assist in the preparation of costings for standard and new products
  • Marketing the Well Testing business through Strategic sales and Business planning to develop the existing customer base and adding new customers
  • Promoting Hunting products and services, leveraging the full portfolio as appropriate
  • Regular Customer/Supplier liaison to enable a timely and efficient response to customer enquiries
  • Developing and maintaining an extensive client base and knowledge of Oil & Gas activities globally for the promotion of the company's activities. Developing customer relations, maintaining and enhancing existing business contacts and customers and identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, positioning Well Testing with good market shares. Ensuring regular face to face contact
  • Ensuring that Hunting is given every opportunity to tender / quote, always attending key industry events and staying a step ahead of the competition
  • Managing after sales support, acting as account manager to coordinate support from other Hunting locations
  • Facilitating open, effective and proactive communication between all departments to optimise team performance and ensure they are all fully informed of the operational objectives
  • Providing advice on operating procedures and ensuring systems are implemented to control overall quality of products, to meet customer satisfaction/licensor requirements
  • Travelling to customer's location and providing training/commissioning of new equipment and reporting on same.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent with extensive experience in a similar operational role within Well Testing companies. They should also have knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft D365 and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
